Expect a 6–12+ mph boost in top speed and noticeably faster acceleration. Your scooter will rev higher, respond quicker, and feel smoother on takeoff. Upgrades can push top speeds from 35 mph to 45–50 mph, depending on model and conditions.

On 150cc Scooters:
Performance gains lean more toward stronger acceleration and throttle response. You may see a 3–6 mph increase in top speed, with quicker pull through mid-range and better hill-climbing power.


By requesting any de-restriction or performance-related service from Scooter Pros, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Vehicle Classification:
De-restricting or modifying a 49cc or 150cc scooter may result in the vehicle no longer qualifying as a “moped” or “limited-use vehicle” under Massachusetts law. This may subject the vehicle to additional legal requirements such as:
• Motorcycle registration
• Motorcycle operator’s license (Class M)
• Liability insurance
It is the customer’s sole responsibility to understand and comply with local, state, and federal vehicle laws.
2. Emissions & Safety Compliance:
Scooter Pros does not modify or tamper with any EPA-regulated emissions systems or factory-installed safety features. All performance modifications are limited to drivetrain components (e.g., variators, rollers, CDI, ignition coils, etc.) and are compliant with EPA guidelines.
3. Assumption of Risk:
Customer acknowledges that performance modifications may alter the behavior of the vehicle and assumes full responsibility for its safe operation and maintenance after service is completed.
4. Parts & Labor Guarantee:
Parts installed are new (unless otherwise specified), and all work is performed to the highest standard. However, Scooter Pros does not guarantee changes to top speed, torque, or longevity of the vehicle after modification due to varying vehicle conditions and usage.
